Nelwyn Yee, Instructional Design Lead

Nelwyn Yee has over 20 years of instructional design experience. Working with many leading organizations, Nelwyn has created online, instructor-led and blended learning solutions across multiple industries, including healthcare, finance, utility, insurance, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, government, K-12 education and higher education. Among her clients are: Chevron, the Hawaiian Electric Company, Kaiser Permanente, Queens Medical Center, Roche, the State of Hawaii Department of Education, and University of Hawaii.  

Nelwyn excels in partnering with subject matter experts and designing content for all levels of the organization -- from entry level positions to senior executives. She is comfortable leading local, national and global teams. Many of her current projects involve facilitating teams spread throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. 

Nelwyn also has extensive experience conducting needs assessments, creating learning strategies and evaluating training effectiveness.

Prior to serving as Associate at Inner Power International, Nelwyn was a Training Manager for the Ilikai Hotel, a Senior Learning Consultant for Kaiser Permanente, and a Senior Instructional Designer at Genentech/Roche.

Nelwyn is a member of the Association for Talent Development (ATD) – Hawaii Chapter. She served on the board for six years including serving as the Chapter President and Chapter Board Advisor.

She holds a Bachelors degree in Human Resources and Business Administration, a Masters degree in Business Administration, and a Secondary Education Teaching Certification from the University of Hawaii. Of Japanese and Chinese origin, Nelwyn remains deeply tied to the local community in Hawaii, and enjoys serving on the board of Sounds of Success, a preschool that provides services to children who have speech and language delays.
